For a week in September 2023, I was artist in residence at St. Mary's CofE School in Chiddingfold. Throughout Heritage week, Cordelia and I conducted workshops for all the age groups at the school in the conservatory of her home.
Our approach involved tailoring each workshop to a specific theme for the different year groups, fostering engagement and creativity. For the youngest participants, we explored mark-making and music, while the older students delved into the photography and printing. There was an exhibition held at the school on the final day. Parents and members of the Chiddingfold community were invited to see the showcased works, accompanied by a film I compiled, documenting the week's activities. The soundtrack featured "Golden Brown" by The Stranglers, a homage to the band's connection to Chiddingfold.
